A big team participating e-Bangladesh Telecentre Network to share its experience and opportunities of Bangladesh and the experience of the project title Implementation of rural MSMEs using ICT Services in Bangladesh. About 25 participants are joining from Bangladesh who are within the horizon of telecentre movement in Bangladesh. BTN team is consist of its members organization representatives and telecentre managers who actively played the role of implementer of the project.
The main objective of the delegates of Bangladesh to share its experielces to the global community, its learning and experiences, and to advocate the hosts of e-asia in Bangladesh on 2011. BTN is committed to build sustainable information and knowledge system for all under the Mission 2011. Mission 2011 is a multi-stakeholder initiative for building a sustainable information and knowledge system for the poor and marginalised by the 40th anniversary of Bangladesh's independence. The goal of Mission 2011 is to promote initiatives taken by the government, private sector, NGOs, research institutions, educational institutions, media, international and national development partners and other stakeholders for building various models of telecentres in Bangladesh so that by 2011 all citizens of the country would have access to information and knowledge centres (popularly known as telecentre) for getting communication, information and other services for improving their livelihoods and quality of life. The telecentres will have different ownership patterns, technology, target beneficiaries, service packages, and business/sustainability models. About E-Asia:
Centre for Science, Development and Media Studies (CSDMS), India and Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA), Sri Lanka have joined hands to organise 4th annual eASiA 2009 conference and exhibition in Colombo, Sri Lanka to celebrate the year 2009 as the year of ICT and English as declared by HE Mahinda Rajapaksa, President, Sri Lanka and to promote growth of ICT4D, through consultative dialoguing, strategic planning, knowledge networking and business partnering. eAsia 2009
